MySky FAQ

Yes. A free account with email and password is required to use MySky. Supabase is the source of truth for your account data, and this device may keep local cache, drafts, and queued writes for convenience and offline resilience.

All core features, including mood tracking, journaling, sleep logging, standard AI dream interpretation, and birth chart access, are available on the free plan. Free users also get one relationship chart. A Deeper Sky subscription unlocks premium features such as a richer dream interpretation model, more relationship charts, expanded reflection features, and backup and restore.

MySky is intended for adults and is listed as 18+ on the App Store. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18.

Partly. You can still draft or queue some actions while offline, and the app can use local cache for recently loaded data. Supabase remains canonical, so some features need a connection to refresh, sync, authenticate, or complete account-backed saves.

A network connection is needed for sign-in, cloud sync, city-name geocoding when entering a birth place, subscription verification through RevenueCat, optional AI features, export/deletion requests, and fresh account data access.

Deeper Sky subscriptions are managed through your device's App Store or Google Play settings. Cancel before renewal according to the store rules shown to you. Access generally continues through the end of your billing period, and purchases can be restored from the premium screen where restore is available.

Your account data, including birth data, journal entries, check-ins, sleep logs, dream content, relationship charts, energy readings, and settings, is stored in your Supabase account as the canonical record.

Your device may also keep local cache, drafts, temporary files, and queued writes so the app feels responsive and can tolerate temporary offline use.

External services may be used for authentication and cloud sync through Supabase, geocoding lookups using city or place text, subscription verification through RevenueCat, diagnostics through Sentry, app platform services, and optional AI features through Google Gemini.

Journal and reflection analysis is selected locally whenever possible for pattern detection and insight selection. If AI Insight Refinement is enabled, MySky may send the selected local insight card, pattern keys, and short evidence snippets to Google Gemini to improve wording. It does not send your full journal history, birth data, location, email, or account identity for that feature.

Brittany Apps does not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI or ML models. MySky does not collect advertising identifiers or perform cross-app tracking.

Limited disclosures to service providers include:

• Supabase for authentication, database storage, synchronization, backend functions, and optional AI relay functions.
• OpenStreetMap for city-name geocoding.
• RevenueCat for subscription verification.
• Sentry for operational crash and error telemetry.

Yes. All users can export supported synced account data through Privacy Settings where available and can request account data help by contacting Brittany Apps.

You can use Delete Account in Settings to request deletion of your Supabase authentication account and synced account data. Hard Reset in Privacy Settings can also clear account-backed app data and local cache on this device. Premium users can export supported PDFs and create portable .msky backup files where available.

Premium users can create a portable .msky backup file for supported MySky app data. The backup is shared through the device share sheet and is controlled by the destination you choose.

You control where the file goes, whether Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, email, or another destination. To restore, select the .msky file. Backups can also be restored during onboarding before entering birth data where the restore flow is available.

Uninstalling removes device-local app data according to your operating system's behavior, including local cache and queued data. It does not automatically delete your Supabase account or synced cloud records.

If you want to delete synced account data, use Delete Account in Settings where available or contact support. If you created a .msky backup, that copy remains wherever you saved it until you delete it there.

You can withdraw consent at any time in Privacy Settings. When consent is withdrawn, MySky stops writing new personal data but preserves existing data so nothing is lost. You can restore consent later to resume full functionality, or perform a Hard Reset at any time to permanently erase data.

Widget support may vary by build and may be temporarily disabled. Where MySky widgets are enabled, widget data is shared with the widget extension through an on-device App Group bridge rather than an external service.

The MySky mobile app does not use browser cookies, web beacons, or browser-based tracking technologies. It may store Supabase auth session data, local cache, queued writes, settings, and temporary files on your device so the app can operate normally.

In the unlikely event of a breach affecting personal information held by MySky or its service providers, it will be assessed promptly and any legally required notices will be provided. Because MySky uses cloud account storage, a server-side or provider-side incident could affect synced account records depending on the incident.

Under GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and applicable privacy law, you may have the right to access your data, export it in a portable format, correct inaccurate data, delete it permanently, withdraw consent, object to processing, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

California residents also have additional rights, including the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, the right to opt out of sales, which MySky does not do, and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information. The full Privacy Policy contains more detail.

AI Insight Refinement is an optional feature that can improve the wording of a selected local insight after MySky's local pattern engine has already selected it. When enabled, MySky sends the selected local insight card, pattern keys, and short evidence snippets through a Supabase Edge Function to Google Gemini.

It does not send your full journal history, birth data, location, email, or account identity. You can turn AI Insight Refinement off in Settings and continue using local insight generation.

Yes, in part. Dream reflections combine on-device symbolic analysis with a narrative AI pass from Google Gemini. The app first extracts symbols, feelings, and pattern context locally, then sends only dream text and selected dream feelings for AI interpretation.

Free users use the standard Gemini model, while Deeper Sky uses a richer model for more depth.

When available, dream text and selected dream feelings are sent to Google Gemini to generate the narrative interpretation shown in the app. No birth data, user identifiers, or other personal information is included.

The app still performs on-device symbolic analysis first to extract context and guardrails. Free users use the standard Gemini model, while Deeper Sky uses a richer model for more nuance.

MySky maps your chart into a chakra-based energy system. Free users see an energy snapshot with select insights, while Deeper Sky unlocks the full seven-chakra reading with body cues, triggers, guidance, and daily pattern tracking.

The Balance Dashboard combines mood, energy, stress, and sleep into a daily snapshot. It shows trends over time, highlights correlations such as sleep quality versus mood, and surfaces patterns you might not notice on your own. Correlation calculations happen on your device.

Personal Story organizes your natal chart into narrative chapters covering themes such as identity, emotional landscape, communication style, relationships, and purpose. Free users access three chapters and Deeper Sky unlocks all ten.

Story content is generated from birth data using on-device interpretation engines, not AI.

The Somatic Map lets you log where you feel emotions in your body by selecting body regions, tagging linked emotions, and rating intensity. Over time, it builds a visual map of embodied emotional patterns.

This is some of the most sensitive data in the app. It may be stored in your Supabase account and cached locally, and it is not sold or shared for advertising.

The Trigger Log helps you track emotional triggers, dysregulation patterns, and restoring practices. Over time it builds a personal nervous system profile showing what activates you, what helps you return to baseline, and how your window of tolerance shifts. Entries may be stored in your Supabase account and cached locally.

Relationship Patterns is a self-reflection tool for tracking recurring relational dynamics, communication tendencies, attachment observations, and interpersonal patterns you notice over time. It is separate from the synastry chart feature and does not use birth data. Entries may be stored in your Supabase account and cached locally.

You can add a partner's birth data to generate a synastry chart showing planetary aspects between your charts. Free users get one relationship chart and Deeper Sky unlocks up to 10 relationship charts.

The Growth screen tracks your development journey using patterns surfaced from check-ins, journal entries, and self-discovery data. The Healing Journey explores sensitive growth areas connected to your chart, such as Chiron work and lunar node themes. Account-backed records may sync through Supabase, and these features are part of Deeper Sky.

The Today screen delivers a personalized daily loop including moon phase awareness, active transit context, energy readings, reflection prompts, and chart-tied guidance. Free users get basic daily context while Deeper Sky adds personalized guidance with action steps. Content is generated on-device from natal data and current planetary positions.

MySky analyzes the timing of your check-ins and sleep data over time to surface when during the day you tend to feel most energized, creative, or drained. Rhythm data may be calculated from synced account records and cached locally for display.

MySky can send optional local notifications for daily check-in reminders and reflection prompts. Notifications are scheduled on-device rather than through a push notification server, and you can configure or disable them in Settings.

MySky uses Swiss Ephemeris as its primary calculation engine, with a JavaScript fallback. All calculations run on your device. Supported house systems include Placidus, Koch, Whole Sign, Equal House, Campanus, Regiomontanus, and Topocentric. Moon phases are calculated with the astronomy-engine library.

Yes. You can choose from multiple house systems, including Placidus, Koch, Whole Sign, Equal House, Campanus, Regiomontanus, and Topocentric, and adjust display preferences through Astrology Settings and Calibration. If your birth time is unknown, MySky uses a specialized handler to adapt interpretations accordingly.

MySky includes multiple tools for self-discovery, including a Core Values Inventory for ranking what matters most, a Jungian Archetype Profile, a Cognitive Style self-assessment, a Somatic Map for tracking where emotions live in the body, and a Trigger Log for building a personal nervous system profile.

No. MySky is a self-reflection and personal growth tool. Its features, including somatic mapping, nervous system tracking, core values work, archetype profiles, cognitive style assessments, astrological guidance, dream reflections, healing prompts, and emotional pattern analysis, do not constitute therapy, counseling, psychological diagnosis, or medical advice.
