What Inner House Is — and Is Not

A plain-language guide to the purpose and limits of Inner House.

Legal details

Effective date: May 22, 2026

Inner House organizes what users choose to record. It does not diagnose, provide therapy, provide crisis services, or interpret what records mean.

01

What Inner House Is

Inner House is a private organization app for adults who want a calm place to keep inner-life records, support plans, sharing choices, and data controls.

It gives users places to organize profiles, check-ins, memories, notes, attachments, calm tools, safety steps, therapy-prep materials, chat, polls, maps, connections, exports, imports, and privacy settings they choose to use.

02

What Inner House Helps You Organize

Users may choose to create profiles for parts, alters, system members, internal spaces, or any wording that fits; check in with who feels present, near front, co-fronting, blurry, blended, or unknown; save memory entries; write House Notes; keep calm tools and safety steps; gather notes for therapy; use House Chat and polls; manage Connections; review imports; export data; and delete account data.

03

What Inner House Is Not

Inner House is not a diagnostic tool, therapy, medical care, mental health treatment, crisis service, emergency service, or substitute for a qualified professional.

Inner House does not diagnose DID, OSDD, dissociation, trauma, or any other condition. It does not treat, prevent, cure, or manage any medical condition.

04

No Interpretation or AI Meaning-Making

Inner House does not tell you what your inner life means, decide who is real, verify identities, assign roles, explain memories, interpret your records, or use AI to tell you what your records mean.

The app organizes what you choose to record. Meaning-making stays with you and, where appropriate, qualified support people you choose to involve.

05

No Crisis Support

Inner House is not monitored by a crisis team and cannot provide urgent help.

If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a trusted person nearby.

06

Working With Professionals

Inner House can help you gather notes, entries, questions, and topics you may choose to bring to therapy or another professional appointment.

It does not provide therapy and does not replace the judgment, care, safety planning, or recommendations of qualified professionals.

07

Sharing and Connections

Inner House can help you prepare share cards, image cards, trusted-person notes, exports, and connection updates that you choose to share.

Nothing is sent automatically. Connections require invite codes and your choices, and there is no public profile search, random matching, public feed, or open discovery.

08

User Control

Your records belong to you. Inner House is built around user control, privacy choices, export, import review, app-data deletion, and account deletion.

You decide what to record, what to leave blank, what to export, what to share, and what to delete.
